Mahogany OM guitar #259 $3700 (includes case)
New guitar made from Adirondack Spruce and Honduras Mahogany. Traditional woods that are difficult to find nowadays, especially Mahogany which is listed in CITES Appendix II. The Mahogany comes from a deceased estate of a cabinet maker and is approximately 40 years old. 14frets to the body, 25.4in scale length. Varnish finish. Has a bolt on neck and Schertler tuning machines. This guitar is plain elegance, no flashy woods or decoration. However, that impression will change as soon as you play it. It is easily the best sounding guitar I have made to date. It has the lot, sweet and warm sounding yet loud and responsive, just beautiful. It kicks the backside of my familiar and well loved reference guitar, or as the Americans would say, it kicks butt. Yep, I really like this one, if only I could play it properly.
Woods are - Red Spruce (Adirondack) top, Honduras Mahogany back and sides, African Mahogany neck, figured Maple bindings, Red River Gum rosette with Paua Abalone ring, Ebony fingerboard (16in radius), tuning knobs, and headstock overlay, Tasmanian Blackwood bridge. Comes with a Hiscox case included in the price.
No sound clips yet, I am not a guitar player and cannot
possibly do it justice.
