Tenor guitar #236 for sale

The Gillian Alcock special

This tenor guitar is special.  I am dedicating it to the memory of my great friend and colleague Gillian Alcock who passed away in November 2018.  The top of this guitar is made from the last plank of King Billy Pine that Gillian had before she retired.  If she had not been forced to retire because of the debilitating effects of MS it would have ended up as a hammered dulcimer soundboard.  I only have enough wood for two of these guitars, so there will only ever be two Gillina Alcock specials.

This tenor guitar is made from Australian native woods, except for the Ebony fingerboard and headstock overlay, and Indian Rosewood bindings.  King Billy Pine top, Tasmanian Blackwood back and sides, Blackheart Sassafras rosette, and Queensland Maple neck.  Beautiful sounding tenor guitar, equal or better to the best of my Spruce topped tenor guitars.
