New Custom model mandolin #219  $3500 (includes case)  **SOLD**

This is the mandolin that Martin Reese played at the National Folk Festival instrument makers concert.  He picked it as his favourite.  It sounded so sweet and clear I was delighted with the sound, and afterwards got compliments from some audience members about the sound.  It is a beautiful sounding mandolin that is only going to get better with time.  I like it even more than #218, although it is a close contest.  It has really good clarity in the treble which is why I like it.

Woods are -Red Spruce top, Tasmanian Myrtle, back, sides and neck, Ivorywood bindings, Tasmanian Blackwood pickguard, Ebony fingerboard (12in radius, 30mm wide at the nut), matt gold Schaller GrandTune tuners with Ebony knobs, matching James tailpiece, and ebony adjustable Brekke bridge.  The back and sides have some tiger Myrtle striping.
