My waiting list is approximately 2 years, give or take a
few months. This will vary depending on demand. If you are lucky I
occasionally have an instrument available immediately, but it is on a
take it or leave it basis. If you wish to order an instrument deposits
are $500 in Australian dollars, per instrument.
Currently available instruments:
Very unusual - I have 3 available immediately.
These are left over from the Folk Festival at Easter.
(1) Standard model oval hole mandolin - $3000 (ex
transport)
Woods are Engelmann Spruce top, Birdseye Maple back,
sides and neck, Blackwood pickguard. Nice sounding mandolin, I
like this wood combination, and very pretty. Since I put
these pictures up, this mandolin has turned into one of the best
sounding oval hole mandolins I have made. It has everything - very
responsive, big sustain and ring, excellent volume. Great
mandolin. Some of my earlier customers were blown away by this
mandolin at Easter.

(2) Oval hole mandola $3750 including Presto case. No case $3200
(ex transpost).
Nice sounding mandola with a highly figured Queensland Maple back, sides
and neck. Top is European Spruce from Italy. Nice well
balanced sound. The back was given to me from a friend who lives
in North Queensland. Apparently is was cut from a Queensland Maple
tree butt about about 50 years ago.

(3) A5 mandolin $2500 (ex transport).
This mandolin is 3 years old. It has been my personal instrument
for the last 3 years, and I really like it, and hate to sell it.
However, I have a new one and can't afford to keep them all. Woods
are Red Spruce top, Tasmanian Myrtle back and sides, Queensland Maple
neck and Birdseye Maple pickguard. Well played in, real
sweet sounding F soundhole mandolin. This mandolin was made to my
tastes so it does have a wide fingerboard and chunky neck.
